The clinic, which is run by the doctor and practice nurse, is intended to provide complete health care for your child from birth to 5 years. This includes immunisations, developmental checks and general advice. It is important that your children are fully immunised against all childhood diseases. You will be sent a reminder when an injection is due. If you are unable to attend the appointment given, please contact us and we will organise another appointment.

We recommend that smears are taken every three years (unless advised otherwise). This will be carried out by the practice nurse.
Diabetes/Asthma/Coronary Heart Disease and other Chronic Diseases
We provide comprehensive care for those suffering from chronic diseases. Please make an appointment with the practice nurse.
Well Person Examinations
If you would like a health check which includes, a urine test , diabetes screening, recording your blood pressure, height, weight, etc., please make an appointment with the practice nurse. The Well Persons’ Examination also includes a risk assessment for coronary heart disease.
Our trained staff can offer a variety of minor surgical procedures. You will be fully informed of your procedure and asked to complete a consent form.
We have a practice-based counselling service that your doctor can refer you to.
Please make an appointment with the practice nurse approximately 8 weeks before you are due to travel. More information is available on the above tab.
If you require any vaccinations relating to foreign travel you need to make an appointment with the practice nurse to discuss your travel arrangements. This will include which countries and areas within countries that you are visiting to determine what vaccinations are required.
There is further information about countries and vaccinations required on the links below
It is important to make this initial appointment as early as possible - at least 6 weeks before you travel - as a second appointment will be required with the practice nurse to actually receive the vaccinations. These vaccines have to be ordered as they are not a stock vaccine. Your second appointment needs to be at least 2 weeks before you travel to allow the vaccines to work.
Some travel vaccines are ordered on a private prescription and these incur a charge over and above the normal prescription charge. This is because not all travel vaccinations are included in the services provided by the NHS.
Travel Health Questionnaire
To help us offer the appropriate advice, please fill out the online form before coming to see the nurse.
